The State Department is transforming its technology operation to try to serve its end users better. It’s calling the transformation “Tech For Life.” Kelly Fletcher, Chief Information Officer at the State Department, tells you how the initiative will work, and how it will benefit her end users around the world.

The U.S. military is making “limited progress” in using, and gaining the benefits of, predictive maintenance, according to the Government Accountability Office. The Pentagon has had policy in place for predictive maintenance since 2002. Egon Rinderer, Chief Technology Officer at Shift5, outlines the tools the services have to gain those benefits, and how to use them effectively.

The Internal Revenue Service is scaling its digitization effort after a successful first step. That digitization effort could get a jump-start from the funding the agency will get from the Inflation Reduction Act. Harrison Smith, Director of Enterprise Digitalization at the IRS, lays out a roadmap for his office’s effort, and explains how it will work.
