The Justice Department is nearly 3/4 of the way through its current IT Strategic Plan. That plan revolves around five goals. Melinda Rogers, Chief Information Officer at the Justice Department, tells you where the department stands today in executing the plan, and the road ahead toward meeting the five goals.

A new Zero Trust Maturity Model is out from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. CISA’s goal for the model is to align it to the federal Zero Trust architecture strategy. Beau Hutto, Vice President of Federal at Netskope, details the architecture components to achieve ZT success.

Fiscal 2023 is year five of the Defense Department’s quest to make its financial records auditable. But some parts of the department still have some fundamentals to take care of before they can get there. Asif Khan, Director of Financial Management and Assurance Issues at the Government Accountability Office, testified recently at a House joint subcommittee hearing about the DoD audit. He shares the message he wanted to convey to the committee, and the progress he sees in the work his team is doing on DoD’s financial management.
